Let's talk items and item design, specifically accessory items like rings. I've always enjoyed items that have interesting special effects more than flat stat boosts, as it forces you to think a bit and lets you pick a playstyle that fits how you want to play. There are items that are just flat stat boosts as well, but I've put more time into items that change up a lot of things. Item synergies are what I was going for, seeing as you can equip two accessory items at once.

For example, one item might grant +10% chance to counter attack but lower evasion rate by +10%. Another item might raise evasion rate by +15%, letting you get both stats at the same time, but you could instead choose another major stat boost. It's up to you! One of the more interesting items to synergise with is the Ring of Maledictus. It boosts attack like crazy, but lowers EVERY other stat and reduces max HP to only 5%, basically turning the character into a glass cannon.

What do you use with it?

You could use something else that boosts attack to deal insane damage, but you could opt for something that boosts counter-attack chance or evasion rate to have a bit more survivability. Keep in mind you have 5 characters you can put accessories on. That's a lot of synergies.

Only one Ring of Maledictus exists in a normal playthrough but in NG+ you can get another one (or in the randomiser mode), and double RoM is a lot, LOT of fun. Keep in mind you'll be on 5% of 5% of normal HP though so 1 hit from literally anything is death. The Siege Pendant is another item that is a little bit interesting. It takes an accessory slot and boosts the stats for that party member a bit, and makes them auto attack. It was named after Dungeon Siege, because I watched Accursed Farms' video on it a few months ago.
