Officially 2 months behind schedule on my estimated release date, wooooo! Take this roadmap with a huge pinch of salt. I'm now about 3 months behind but I still want to get the game finished before 2020, 5 months should be enough time... right?
I also just found a bug that must've existed for literally months and I never noticed. I overwrote a character's name to display the total completion time at the end of the game, but I forgot to replace their name with their actual name again so they were just a number in menus.
I was looking through the common events I've made to check something and decided to look at the event that makes Sudden Death work. I have no idea what I did or how this works, but it works. The variable is SD#1 because it does this for all 8 enemy slots:
After looking at it again the formula is fairly simple, it just calculates the current percentage of health the enemy has, divides it by 2, then compares it to a random number between 1 and 100. If the percentage is larger than the random number then the enemy dies.
In other news I'm getting fairly concerned that the plot is taking on too much and doesn't exactly make sense. I'm probably just worrying about nothing, but with each line of dialogue I add I ask myself if this is more than what's needed.
